Due to an exciting time of growth at Spinning Clock we’re looking for a talented Event Manager/Technical Support team member to join us. You will have brilliant opportunities to work with national and international brands managing events across the country as well as helping with technical support both on location and in our Nottingham-based offices.


Job Title: Events Manager / Technical Support

Overview of role

Spinning Clock is looking for an experienced Events Manager/Technical Support to join our successful growing team. You will be confident in managing high-profile events out on location. You will also be proficient in handling hardware and software issues across both Mac and PC platforms as these are integral to the technology-led events we produce.

As well as being required to go out on location to manage our nationwide events you will also be required to support the busy studio with any technical issues that arise when you are not required onsite at events.

Applicants must be well presented, well organised and particular about their approach to work and life in general, you will be contributing to the success of major marketing campaigns, so a disciplined approach is essential. We expect a short but steep learning curve in the early stages of the role and therefore candidates must expect to work hard to prove their worth and ability to handle the pressure and variance of work in this busy agency environment.

The Event Manager/ Technical Support role will include client facing responsibilities. It will also involve supporting the smooth running of the team to ensure high quality delivery on high profile campaigns. Therefore we are seeking a self-disciplined individual with strong interpersonal and technical skills in order to be considered for the role.

Role requirements:

  • Provable excellence in time management and organisational skills
  • Proven Events Management experience (2 years minimum)
  • Be able to take initiative to solve problems whilst onsite.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of computing technical issues and how to overcome these
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be well presented
  • Flexibility of working hours and some weekend work may be required during campaigns
  • Flexibility of role and willingness to support other areas of the business as and when required
  • Developer skills (HTML, Javascript) and good knowledge of Adobe packages a bonus

Package: £Negotiable based on experience.
