Last friday (8th Feb) was the light night festival in Nottingham, a spectacular celebration of art and light in the city centre. There were lots of interesting events and installations around the city, including a giant glow in the dark Dalek!
I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the highlight of the evening, a giant digital projection and pyrotechnic extravaganza showcasing Nottinghamshire’s heritage. Historic Nottingham Castle was the backdrop for this event, with a huge animation projected onto one side of the castle.
It was an amazing spectacle, and if you missed it don’t despair – you still have chance to catch it at Derby’s Silk Mill, Newark Castle and Chatsworth House throughout March – checkout this site for dates.
