Brief

Working in partnership, Experience Nottinghamshire and Nottingham Conferences asked us to create a promotional exhibition stand for Event UK.

The brief was to represent iconic elements of Nottingham, whilst using sustainable materials and innovative technology to generate interest in the City.

As two organisations presenting a unified message, we were also asked to create a campaign with the tag line ‘Destination Nottinghamshire’.

Solution

Based on the world famous and iconic Sherwood Forest our team set about creating a style which would provide a welcoming and unmistakable Nottingham environment. A mini woodland complete with 3m oak trees was made from recycled form-cut cardboard and touchscreens were integrated into tree trunks. To attract delegates in for a chat, the stand also featured a mini hospitality area with coffee bar.

The digital team created interactive touch screen presentations, animated screen-savers and e-shots for both pre and post event marketing wrapped up in a new Destination Nottinghamshire brand.

Results

The e-shot campaign alone performed very well achieving a 25% open rate. This not only increased website traffic for both organisations, but also reminded delegates to visit to the stand on the day.

The ‘Destination Nottinghamshire’ campaign created a real buzz at Event UK, generating leads and interest in the world class facilities Nottingham has to offer. We know because we use them too!

Destination Nottinghamshire

It was a pleasure to work with Spinning Clock for the first time on this project to build a new stand for Event UK. Ellie was an excellent reliable contact all the way through up to the event, was always at the end of the phone and was available on the first day of the show to hand over and resolve any minor issues. I would not hesitate to recommend Spinning Clock to other clients.
