Brief

When our friends at LTD approached us and asked us to create their new website, we initially set about exploring ideas to integrate social media, get blog and CSS feeds on the homepage and develop ‘the LTD app’. We turned up at their offices proud of our gleaming range of designs, sure to wow the socks of Craig, Marketing Director at LTD.

We unveiled our boards and stood back back.

“Lovely!”  he said… “but… no thanks….”

Not the response we had hoped for!

“It’s all about our work” he went on to say, “no-one cares about anything else. I do the talking with our customers face to face, what I need is a website that whets the appetite of potential customers enough to get us talking. Nothing more. Off you go chaps!”.

To put the challenge in perspective LTD produce large format bespoke graphics for world famous brands such as Adidas, the V&A, Epson & Google.

Solution

With ‘Strip it back’ in mind, we created designs which explored entirely minimalistic treatments, with the sole focus on the visitor experiencing a showcase of excellence.

To give LTD control of its fast moving content, we chose an easy to use, powerful Content Management System which would allow busy staff to regularly update the site with text and imagery, with tools that automatically generate images and thumbnails to drop into the galleries – so its all nice and easy.

We did manage to persuade Craig to let us squeeze a blog into the site (at no extra cost), this gives visitors get a rare insight to the behind the scenes magic that results in the world class work usually only seen finished in prestigious windows and galleries around the world.

Results

The site has been extremely well received and and now forms a crucial part of the LTD sales and marketing strategy. Oh and Craig’s a very happy man – ring and ask him if you like. The number is on the site at www.ltdltd.com

LTD Limited Showcase Website

We have worked with Spinning Clock on both our original website & it’s recent re-design. On both occasions we found them a pleasure to work with, sympathetic to both our brand & our requests, honest to a fault & extremely professional in their dealings with us.

Most importantly, we have the website we wanted & initially briefed, with no ego or clever, (unnecessary) design “flourishes” to show how “creative” they are, at our expense.

I would happily recommend them (& do) to our clients & not worry that there would be any negative feedback, only positive.
